Rockies Open at Home to a Warm-up; Isolated Shower

Rockies are back at home Friday, and a warm-up starts right along with the first pitch.

Thursday was only 51 in the city, but Friday will warm more than 10-degrees. I'd put Coors Field from 60-65 depending on where you are sitting.

There will be sunshine while you are "tailgating" through the morning. Although, clouds will increase some in the afternoon.

Although the chance for rain at the field is only 5%, don't be surprised if you see a shower. The best chance will be on the foothills west and to south of the city.

For Denver, the big models aren't seeing the rain chance. The local models are, however, including the SREF.

The SREF is an ensemble of models, which is good for finding small scale features. At least some of it's models are seeing some rain late Friday into early Saturday (yellow circle).

Have fun, and maybe I'll see you out there.
