After basking in the warmth and sunshine of today, it is usually inevitable that
we see a stark change around the corner. After we get through another decent day
tomorrow, despite there being more clouds, the changes take place on Thursday.

EURO Model Precipitation and Temperature Forecast

6 AM


Might be some fog and drizzle around the Northern Front Range to start the day
on Thursday. However, with temperatures above freezing, there shouldn't be any
problems.

NOON

Not much change through midday Thursday, except temperatures slowly cooling in
the northern part of the state. Not much rain or snow to be concerned about...

3 PM

As the cold front drops southward, upslope gets stronger. Snow showers will
become more widespread along and north of the Palmer Divide, and along/west of
I-25.

6 PM

The colder air continues its trek down the Front Range, and temperatures will
drop into the 20s for the Denver area by evening. The snow doesn't look terribly
heavy, but expect additional snow showers to develop through Thursday evening
and night.

By Friday morning, the "storm" will be moving out, but there will likely be some
lingering snow flurries for some areas. After mid-morning, we'll likely start to
see some decrease in the clouds.

The EURO Model isn't that excited about significant snow from this storm system,
and neither are we. That being said, we could see a dusting to 2" for some of
use along the I-25 Corridor or along the Palmer Divide.

Any accumulation outside of the mountains would likely be on the grass or
elevated surfaces. Could have a slick spot or two to deal with on the roads
early Friday morning, but likely nothing major. We'll continue to watch it
closely, but as of right now, we are not concerned about it producing a high
impact on us.
