While the circumstances are less than ideal, I hope you have been getting
outside lately. Why? Because our nice and warm weather is going to come to an
end by late this weekend.

While details are still pretty sketchy from a snow standpoint, the temperature
change certainly looks to be a done deal...and it will be a sharp change. The
maps below show that trend.

Yep...that's 60s and 70s for Saturday, with 10s and 20s to start Monday morning
across Eastern Colorado. Right now, the cold front looks to roll through Sunday
morning. Behind the front, there will also be some snow. As of right now, it
doesn't look to be a big snow producer. But lately, computer model skill has
been less than ideal with the finer details.

Thus, we are much more certain about the temperature change, than we are about
the snow threat. The maps below show snow potential from the EURO model, the GFS
Model, and the Canadian model.

The Canadian model is definitely the most bullish with snow potential, while the
other two models are more conservative. For now, we are leaning toward less
snow, and this being more about the MUCH colder air.

A few things... 1) if you have turned on your sprinkler system, you need to make
sure the backflow device is drained by Saturday evening. 2) If you have flowers
on your deck or patio, make sure to bring them in Saturday evening. 3) Stay
current with the forecast as there are likely to be a few changes in the coming
days.
