Winter Storm Warning goes into effect at 5pm Tuesday, heavy snow forecast for Denver, northeast Colorado
No big changes to the forecast this morning as we await the next winter storm to impact Northeast Colorado later today and Wednesday. Snow, heavy at times, is forecast to develop Tuesday evening along the Front Range and become more widespread overnight Tuesday into Wednesday morning across Northeast Colorado before gradually coming to an end Wednesday afternoon. This will be an impactful event for much of the state, particularly northeast Colorado where a Winter Storm Warning goes into effect

Thursday Morning Update: Winter Storm Warning
The National Weather Service in Boulder has upgraded the Winter Storm Watch to a Winter Storm Warning for Denver. It goes into effect at 5pm Thursday, and continues through 6am Friday. Taken at face value, the models would suggest we may actually be underdone with snow totals at this time. While 5 to 10 inches seems like the most probable scenario at this point for the greater Denver area, we caution that this is still a very tricky forecast.
