This week's rain was plentiful for much of Northeast Colorado, with some
locations across the northeast plains picking up more than 3" of rain Tuesday
and Tuesday night. 

Elsewhere across the state folks were not as fortunate. As we look at
precipitation totals over the last 3 days we see a bullseye of that heavy rain
over NECO, as well as some impressive totals from severe storms across Texas
and
Oklahoma

Wednesday. 

Looking ahead, we continue to track what will be a beautiful warm up for the end
of the work week and weekend across the region. 

The warmest day of the next seven looks to come on Saturday, as strong ridging
will push highs into the mid to upper 80s in many locations, with perhaps some
areas breaking the 90°F mark Saturday afternoon across Southeast Colorado. 

By Sunday we start to see temperatures cool a bit (though remain mild) as we see
a better chance of showers and storms return to the forecast as part of our next
weather maker set to deliver more wet weather to our area late this weekend and
early next week.

Which should mean another round of chilly temperatures, rain, and snow for
portions of Colorado, including the urban corridor. 

It's a ways out, so we'll caution against getting too attached to any details,
but the signal in almost all the data is for another good soaking rain – and at
higher elevations more snow. The latest national blend of models shows
precipitation totals in the 1 - 2" range for the greater Denver area between
Sunday afternoon and Wednesday, with appreciable moisture possible for much of
the eastern half of the state should things hold.

most recent event and clearly bias toward the higher terrain: 

We'll be tracking through the weekend, so stay tuned! For now plan on some
warmer and quieter days, and we'll see just how warm we can get Friday and
Saturday across the state!
