Temperatures will be mild for Denver and Colorado for Easter Weekend, but there will be some showers here and there you may see dotting the horizon.

First, let's set the stage with the hourly planner for Denver, showing 60s for highs the next few days. Easter sunrise temperatures will be in the 30s, so dress accordingly if your plans have you outdoors early that morning. (Sunrise is at 6:31 am)

There's the hint of showers in that planner, too. No, I don't think people have to worry about them overall, as the chance is so small, but there will be areas of the mountains that have some impact on plans. Let's roll through the forecast radar animation for the weekend and you'll see what I mean; spotty showers here and there but more in the mountains than on the Plains.

As far as precipitation, it's not much. IF you get some showers, the total water is only a few hundredths in most cases - heavier in the mountains.

Here are two images that show total precipitation and then total snowfall. The impact on mountain roads looks minimal from this activity.

There will be some occasional wind, although the strongest of which will be on the Eastern Plains today and tonight, with an occasional breeze this weekend for the state. If you see smoke today, or this weekend, don't be surprised considering the conditions, but also, there are prescribed fire plans. Smoke will be possible west of Boulder with this one:

Considering temperatures and that breeze there is an increased fire danger, however, that risk will be higher following the weekend as even warmer temperatures return - Denver's daily details:

80s are possible by Tuesday, which is a bit early but not far off the normal date of April 25th. It certainly isn't the earliest occurrence either as we've hit 80° as early as February 10th (2017) in Denver.

If you are a warm-weather fan, you've been waiting since September 30th to hit the 80s again, it should feel quite nice!
